Sapporo Snow Festival

We used to plan trips to the beach for a family vacation. Now that we live at the beach we decided to plan a trip to the snow. I was grateful that it was only a week and we could come back to somewhat warmer weather. The trip takes 2 flights. We left Tokyo for Sapporo, but couldn't land because of weather. After circling for 45 minutes they decided to fly back to Tokyo. There were no flights out the next day so we had to wait until Friday morning to fly out. The airlines gave us free hotel and meal vouchers so we took advantage of our day in Tokyo and surprised the kids with a last minute trip to Disneyland.

Our kids are getting to be pretty good travelers. Even Tyler was a trooper through all the adventure.

It wasn't on purpose that they were dressed the same, but they looked like twins.

Such a good looking man!

She loved seeing the Princesses

One of my favorite parts was our visit to the Sapporo Temple. It was so beautiful and so nice to attend the temple after 7 months. Its hard when you live on an island.

Sledding, snow angels, skiing, snow sculptures, ice sculptures, ice slides, and a whole lot of fun!

I was super impressed at how well the kids did at skiing. They stayed out there the whole 3 hours. They never actually made it down the bunny hill because they said it was too big, but they loved the little slope on the way to the actual hill. I stayed in the hotel most of the time with Tyler because he was not a fan of the cold.

Christmas Time

Sibling bonding time!

The kids both got bikes for Christmas this year. They love riding so much.

Christmas Dinner at the neighbors house with our "Okinawa Family." The kids decorated each other as Christmas trees. I love Spencer's look standing back checking out his job well done.

Daddy built swings in the backyard and Tyler got a swing for Christmas. They will go out and swing for an hour at a time. It was the best idea. Hopefully housing doesn't come by and make us take them down. Brooklyn is in her mermaid swimsuit she got. She can't wait till its warm enough to use it.

EXPLORING DURING WINTER BREAK
Daddy had a week off so we went and did some exploring around the island. This was Dino Park. I love that it was warm enough for t-shirts and shorts.

Wonder Museum and Zoo

Gingerbread houses at Brookie's school and craft activities after school.

Both kids had programs at school on the same day. Brookie loved singing Hip Hop Reindeer and Spencer's favorite was Hat, Beard, Belt and Boots (Head Shoulders Knees and Toes).

For some reason Tyler finds it comfortable to sleep with his head cocked like that.

Christmas Morning! Presents followed by a wonderful Sacrament Meeting at church.
