Great Weekend (and other stuff)!

I realized I haven't updated the blog for a long time. So even though most of you have seen these pictures, for posterity reasons I am posting them on the blog.

This past weekend was busy, but super fun. We went to the ward campout that was only 20 minutes away. The great thing about that is we went home in the evening and got to shower and sleep in our own beds (we were not about to sleep in a small tent with these two) and then went back in the morning for breakfast. Brooke was so excited all day to go camping, even though I am not sure she really knew what that even meant.

Then it was opening day for the pool. Brooke was of course super excited until it came time to actually getting in the water.

She was ok as long as she was sitting on the float or holding on tight to Daddy.

Spencer found the pool to be incredibly relaxing. He went into the cold water without any kind of reaction and then just chilled in his float for over a half hour.

We have really been enjoying the weather lately and love to take walks through the neighborhood, especially on Sunday evenings. It has been so nice to have Curtis home these past few weekends. I could really get used to this schedule. Unfortunately we won't have that again for another month or so.

I had to include a few pics of our attempted photo shoot. It sure is hard with a 2 year old and a 6 month old who can't hold still at all. Even when he is sitting up, which he is now pretty good at,  he is rocking his body all over. I wish I could have gotten a better one of him...maybe next time. By the way, he is also crawling. He likes to chase the vacuum around as well as the broom. Spencer is fascinated by everything that Brooke does and Brooke loves to make him laugh.

From a previous photo shoot (like I said, for posterity)

Our friends had extra tickets to the Sharks Hockey game. We went down to San Jose and sat in the box seats. I tell you what, if you are going to take 2 small kids to a game, that is the way to do it!

Last, but not least, we have made it a tradition to do a 6 month cake...just for the fun of it. This is Spencer on his 6 month birthday. (I was hoping for a round 2, but was out of luck so the video should have been cut off about 20 seconds earlier).
