August

Brooklyn is now 6 months old. She is sitting up, babbling through church, eating solid foods and thoroughly enjoying the carpet in our new house! Here are a few of the pictures from our photo shoot.

I really wanted an excuse to make a cake so we made one for her on her 6 month birthday. Then we let her just have at it. It was quite entertaining to watch.

Here Brooklyn is showing how excited she gets about basically anything. Notice the kicking- she LOVES to kick!

We went camping last weekend at Lake Berryessa. It was kind of a trial run to see how Brooke would do. She did pretty well, besides waking up every time the other campers were loud. We got a pack n play on craigslist and she had a great time playing with her toys in there. We just stayed one night but enjoyed roasting hot dogs and of course, S'mores!

Tom came to visit!! He was on his way back from Taiwan to SLC en route to Pennsylvania. We went to China town in San Francisco and had fun bowling. It was great to spend some time with him after not seeing him for a year.

Jen and Curtis update-
Curtis is enjoying his residency at Travis Air Force Base. As a family doc you get to do everything so he is learning quite a bit. I am trying to make friends by going to park day with what we have nicknamed "The Mom Club" and meeting up with the wives of Curtis' coworkers- "The Non-Mon Club" (because none of them have kids- just dogs!) We are loving the weather here in California, as well as all the delicious fruit! We just moved into our rental house and we love it! So much space that I am having fun trying to decorate- pictures coming soon!

Air Show

We went to the Travis Air Expo last Saturday. It was very cool. I had no idea planes could do what they did. It made me motion sick just watching them spin in circles. This is Brookie all decked out in her red, white, and blue ready for the event. We wanted to take a family picture in front of them...but I think somebody is missing :-) We got to tour the inside of some of the planes. Here were our favorites: the B2 bomber and the blue thunderbirds.
