Summer Field Trips

SUMMER FIELD TRIPS!

This summer we planned a trip every week to explore more of this amazing island. Let's see if I can remember what they were all called....

Busena Underwater Observatory: They built this tunnel down into the ocean so you can see the fish. This is the way my kids like to look at animals!

Neo Park: This was probably my favorite only because of the kids' reaction. When you first walk in there are a ton of birds that come right up to you expecting to be fed. It was like my kids worst nightmare coming true. I had no idea they could be so afraid of birds. There were turkeys, peacocks, birds as tall as Brooke, etc. As soon as they started walking towards us, they went running. I will try and find the video to upload, it's pretty funny.

The kids are fine as long as the animals are behind a fence or in a cage.
Airplanes and Turtle Pond: Just checking out the planes on base and then a nice walk to the turtle pond.

Of course my kiddos were fine as long as long as the animals stayed in the water. The second time we went back the turtles must have been a little more hungry. They started crawling out of the water to get the food. Brooke took off running down the golf course. Curtis hitched a ride on someone's golf cart to go and catch her to bring her back.

Bios on the Hill: A fun place with animals you can take for walks, playgrounds, lilly pad walks, and giant swings.

Butterfly Garder and one more visit to the Aquarium:

Looking at the whale sharks through the glass floor

The Wonder Museum and quick walk through the Zoo:

You have to pay for the Zoo to get in to the Wonder Museum. We thought we would try the Zoo before it got too hot. That lasted about 20 minutes before we were drenched in sweat and ready to head inside.

We could seriously spend the entire day at the Wonder Museum. This was just the small section with dress ups. I think we hung out here for 45 minutes.
