Happy Halloween!

We went trick or treating at the hospital! Brooklyn was pretty happy with all the candy she got!

Brooke with her friends Mila and Jude!

                                                           Mommy's Little Pumpkin

Can't believe we have two kids now!!!

Baby Spencer

We would like to welcome Spencer Curtis Gapinski to the family. He was born on October 25th at 7:08 am weighing in at a whopping 9 lbs 10 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. Here is the story...

I started having contractions at 6 pm on Wednesday night. They were very consistent but not very strong for  the next 4 hours. We couldn't decide whether or not to go the hospital because I didn't want to show up and only be dilated to a 1 and have to go home. We finally decided to go and arrived there around midnight. I was so happy to hear that I was already dilated to a 5! By 4 am I had made it to a 10. After 2 hours of pushing, we were not really making any progress- the baby was stuck. I was given the option of pushing for another hour or going in for a c-section. As much as I didn't want that, I didn't have the strength to keep pushing, so it was off to surgery.

It has been so nice to have Curtis home for a week to help out. He has been amazing! Brooklyn has really bonded with him which is good because she is kind of having a hard time adapting to having a new baby around.

This is one of my favorite pictures!

Just a few days left!

I realized it has been a very long time since I have updated the blog. I am sure it has something to do with the  very busy toddler that we have running around as well as the fact that I am 9 months pregnant. We are really excited for the arrival of our little boy and hope that it happens any day now.

Here are a few recent pics that make me happy!

Us at the Lake this summer!

Getting pedicures before baby Ellie was born!

Brooke holding her new cousin Ellie!

Brooke loves to help water the plants

I think she is ready for the baby to come, although I don't know if I am ready to monitor her every second because she has a little too much love! She is really getting into playing pretend and will go "fill her bottle" in the little play kitchen sink she has.

She is Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween. I think her costume turned out pretty cute considering  my minimal sewing skills.  I just love Halloween and hope that the baby will come in time so he can have pics in his costume and I can pass out candy to the trick or treaters!

Last but not least, this might be the only prego picture you get...

Family Fun

In May we went to Southern California with most of the Gapinski family. We spent the week going to Disneyland, California Adventure Land, Universal Studios, and Sea World. Here are some pictures of the fun...
Sea World- Brooke loved seeing the animals

Everyone loved the rides, especially the fact that I was there to take pictures of them !

Universal Studios

Brooklyn loves to dance! Anytime we went past a place playing some music, she would raise her hands and start to dance!
Enjoying the splash pad

"Part of your world..."

Time with the Armstrongs...

My parents have been called to be mission presidents in Uruguay. We had one last big hurrah with all the kids except Tom (who was in Germany). We spent a week at their house enjoying being together- including Matt who had just returned from his mission to Texas. It sure is hard to have all your family so spread out around the world. Hopefully in 3 years when they come home, all of us will be able to party together!
Seth and Brookie had so much fun together. Here he told her "just do it like this Brookie!"

Playing outside in the wading pool

Had fun going down to Provo to visit BYU campus. We went bowling at the game center and guess who won...Seth. Beat everyone (some of us by 40 points!)

Enjoying the lovely weather in the newly landscaped backyard.  It was so nice to just sit and chat while watching the kids play.

Brooke LOVES being outside. She could have played outside all day every day on the swings, trampoline and slide!

My 4 generation picture. I have had this on my bucket list for years and was so happy that  my Grandma was able to make it so we could take this picture. I will treasure it forever!

Roasting mallows after our foil dinners!

We took family pictures while most of us were there. We had to photoshop Tom, Sheri and Tim in afterward, but they turned out pretty nice.

P squared as they like to call us!

Just love this one- thanks Lacey for the adorable dress!

Last but not least...

BABY BOY IS ON HIS WAY!!!!!!!!!!

I had my 20 week ultrasound a couple days ago. After two hours of laying on the table (and actually falling asleep and snoring) the doctor confirmed it is a BOY! The official due date is October 29th.

Pregnancy thoughts so far...
Sickness- only threw up once during the 1st trimester, but I was nauseous every day for those 3 months
Weight gain- 5 lbs
Cravings- Burger King's chicken sandwich, sour patch kids, french fries,
1st Choice Name- Spencer
I feel like I had to start wearing prego pants WAY to early!
I love that I am finally starting to feel him kick
It is a lot harder with a toddler running around or jumping on my stomach, but I think Brooke will really like the baby (after she gets over the jealousy factor, that is!)

Summertime Has Begun!

We recently went to Phoenix for the weekend to see Em and Tim and visit our Rancho Solano friends. Brooke really enjoyed walking around campus saying hi to all the kids. My Mom, Dad, and Stacey were able to come down for 2 days to play with us. It was a blast. The only thing that would have made it better is if Curtis could have come with us. We spent Saturday at the park playing tennis and having a picnic!
Em was in her stake musical along with Ellyn Wing. We enjoyed going to watch the show twice. Brooke even sat through most of it, dancing to all the songs.
I love when the weather warms up enough to play outside, but Brooklyn loves it even more. We bought a mini blow up pool and spent the whole day playing in it.

Since I finally figured out how to put a video on, here is a quick one....She does eventually go down the slide, it just took longer than my camera allowed!
