Right now we have 7 weeks left till d-day. For a while I thought he was going to come early because it seemed like last summer all the women in the ward had their babies early. Well, that is not the case this summer. All of them went late. Also, I had been having a bunch of contractions and that started to get me worried a bit. I realized I just need to really take it easy and drink tons of water and then I should be fine.
The only real cravings I have had is sugar and dark chocolate. Mostly frozen dark chocolate chips. Sometimes I go through an entire bag in a week (and no one helps me). I am going to have to work super hard to get all this weight off post baby. Can't wait to go do the stairs again or run the Habu Trail.

I think this is the only Prego pic we have so far!
4th of July-
Here in Japan, the 4th is just not quite the same. They even cancelled the firework show which happens a few days before due to some unrest with the locals. Still, we had a fun breakfast with the branch followed by a bike parade for the kiddos. They were so excited to decorate their bikes and ride around in a circle, they wanted to practice days before it ever happened.
That evening we had a BBQ with some neighbor friends. Brooke thought the sparklers were awesome while Spencer wanted nothing to do with them. He was basically terrified. You would have thought it would be the other way around!
Curtis has been doing a lot of diving lately. He went on a really cool dive where he saw a sea turtle and a few sharks. He is the one behind the camera, but he took some pretty sweet photos.
I almost forgot.... CONGRATULATIONS TO MAJOR CURTIS GAPINSKI!!
Curtis was promoted to Major on July 1st. He didn't want anything big to happen and most people still don't even know. We are so proud of him and the amazing doctor he has become. Spencer was happy to take over his old hat and if Spence gets to dress up, well then Brooke will too!
As we await these final weeks....we wonder.....will he look like baby Brooklyn or baby Spencer? Well, we seem to create quite the mold so I think we can take a pretty good guess and say yes, he will probably look just like both of them. Now if we could only decide on a name.....
