Happy 1st Birthday Spencer!

Today we finally took a few pictures of Spencer for his 1st birthday! I tell you what, he is one hard boy to take a picture of because he NEVER holds still. I remember taking Brooke's first birthday pictures and it was so easy because she couldn't walk yet. If that was the case, I would have had to take Spencer's photos over 3 months ago. Despite the fact that it was hard, we had a fun time. 

This face is so contemplative- he has a concerned thinking face, just like his mom!

He got a basketball hoop for his birthday and he loves it! 

For his actual birthday we had a couple friends over just for cake and ice cream. Actually it was brownies and ice cream. I figured since Spencer didn't tell me otherwise, I might as well make what we like. I really thought he would put on a good show with stuffing it in his face, but no such luck. Maybe because we were all watching or something, but he was as calm as ever...the little stinker!

We let him open some presents first thing in the morning. 

The day before his birthday we went to Kids Gone Wild which is, as Brooke calls it, the bouncy house place. We invited a few of the kids' friends and they had a great time. This video is Spencer trying to play in the bouncy house. He completely crashed into me and then fell out the hole!

Brooke loved the big slide!

I just had to include this video because it cracks me up. Spencer has learned how to turn around and back down the stairs. He started way over by the post you can see and kept trying to back up toward the playground. By the time I got the camera out, he had already backed up quite a ways.
